CNG
Compressed Natural Gas is comprised mainly of methane. The higher the methane content in your natural gas, the better. Methane, CH4, is made from one carbon and 4 hydrogens. Used as a motor fuel, methane burns very cleanly. The low carbon content of the fuel keeps your engine oil cleaner, longer.
NGV
Natural Gas Vehicles can be dedicated to one fuel only. NGV's can also be bi-fuel, and retain a liquid fuel system for extra range and security. Dual-Fuel NGV's burn two fuels at one time, such as biodiesel and natural gas on top of the baseline fuel. Tri-fuel NGV's add a third fuel ability such as ethanol in a flexfuel configuration with gasoline. Multi-Fuel NGV's can burn methane in a flexfuel configuration with hydrogen, while retaining their gasoline and ethanol flexfuel ability.
