Electric Vehicles, including Neighborhood Electric Vehicles, (NEV's), Hybrid Vehicles, (HEV's), Plug-In Hybrid Vehicles, (PHEV's), Fuel-Cell Vehicles, (FCEV's), and pure Electric Vehicles, (EV's) all have one thing in common, they use electrons for fuel.

Electric Vehicles round out the list of cleaner, safer, local fuels, as long as your electrons are coming from a clean source, such as Solar PV, Wind, Wave, Hydro or geothermal to name a few. If you are burning natural gas in a central power plant to charge your batteries over the high power transmission lines to run your EV, though, you would be better off just burning the methane at the point of use in an ICE that can have cleaner exhaust out the tailpipe than the ambient air in any metropolitan city.

Hybrid electric vehicles are great because they are fuel neutral and we can upgrade them to run on cleaner, safer, local fuels instead or petroleum based ones!

Plug-In HEV's extend the usable electric only range of hybrid vehicles, this coupled with a cleaner fuels such as methane, propane, or hydrogen and then you have the best of both worlds, cleaner emissions and better fuel economy!

Pure electric vehicles work great in an entrapped fleet, or on an island, where they can not drive out of charging station range. Cross-Country travel in a pure EV is an obstacle. Our on-board multi-fuel gensets extend the range of pure EV's and NEV's with the use of cleaner, safer, local fuels such as biodiesel, ethanol, propane, methane, or hydrogen.

Considering the cradle to cradle life of and the rare earth element resources required to build EV's, it is imparative that we take great care of them and make them last a long time to get the most use out of their materials.
